Launched by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996, National Poetry Month reminds us that poets have an integral role to play in our culture and that poetry matters. Over the years, it has become the largest literary celebration in the world, with tens of millions of readers, students, K–12 teachers, librarians, booksellers, literary events curators, publishers, families, and, of course, poets, marking poetry's important place in our lives and now- our church!
Perfect Peace
El Elyon, Elohim, El Shaddi, Nissi,
I AM all that I say I AM.
Said in a million different ways on a million different days;
Moving in, through, and on top of time,
For time-lapsed eternities.
Willingly waging warfare for all of mine!
Tell me then, oh I beg of thee,
Why are you bound when I have set you free?
Double Double.
Double Shalom- Shalom Double.
Making all things perfect cause I am peacing to the 2nd power!
Don’t shun The Son.
Sonship is not a myth!
I AM the Prince of Peace prophesied by the prophet,
Bruce Lee-ing in the 5th.
Wonderful, Waymaker, Waterwalker;
I. Laid. Down. My. Life. For. You.
For this moment, for this second,
For this minute, for this hour.
I give you counsel in night seasons;
Always at your right hand- authority,
Your Strong Tower.
Tell me then, oh I beg of thee,
Why are you still bound when I have set you free?
Did you forget?
I AM the great I AM!
The Shield that is all about thee!
The lifter of thine head!
I make waves when there is no way.
O, Ma, One, Tsidkenu,
But my granny used to say:
The Keeper of My Soul, Rock of Gibraltar, Balm in Gilead,
Sophia cautiously cascading cares away.
Your life is being requested, and you are being tested.
Make every attempt to expect the unexpected.
Just know everything I breathe on- I bless it!
So, tell me then, oh I beg of thee,
Why are you bound;
When IN Me you have PERFECT PEACE.
